If the title of this journal didn't tip you off, I'll say it again: if you are a fan of Twilight, stop reading right now. Because I do not mince words.

Well, it's that night people have been waiting for...or, if you're like me, dreading. "New Moon" is officially in theaters.

Whoop-de-dooooooo...

I'm not so sure about anyone else, but this is one stupid trend I hope will go away as soon as possible. I'm sick of seeing a bunch of shirtless guys turning into dogs and blood-lusting vampires every time I turn on the TV.

Of course...I'll admit that my opinion isn't the most...how should I say it..."educated" one out there. I haven't read the books, or seen the movies. But that's because I don't really want to. However, I have reliable sources who have read the books, and according to those people, the books are horrible. So...that saves me a lot of trouble.

I think I'm able to see how ridiculous this whole thing because...well, honestly, I have no desire to date, and I'm in no way interested in peoples' physical appearances (I guess you can say I'm like Haruhi Fujioka in that regard). Clotheless bodies just bug me.

Here's the thing...usually I don't give fads like that a second glance. But when I start reading Internet articles about how people want to start new religions based on the characters...yeah. Granted, that article was fake, but still (there's a link to it in one of =YukiMizuno's journals, if you're interested).

All those actors, in my opinion, are becoming way too exposed. I, for one, don't care who the main vampire (whom I don't think is that attractive...*gasp*) or the main werewolf (who's apparently dating a certain country singer; P.S. Am I the only person who doesn't hate Kanye West for what he did involving her?). Seriously, isn't dating supposed to be a private thing? Then again, when you're a celebrity, NOTHING'S private; just ask Anna Nicole Smith, or the Gosselins...Anyway, in terms of the couples in the books and movies, literally not being able to live without another person? It's kinda pathetic if you ask me...

However, I just got a little spark of hope. Just now, on the "Daily 10" (my one-stop shop for witnessing the stupidity of celebrity worship), resident movie critic Ben Lyons said, all the Twilight fan craziness aside, the movie itself is "not that good." Sorry, fans.

So...yeah. That's my opinion. Love it or hate it. Bottom line, to me, the whole thing is stupid and I want it to go away.
